Chipo Mahlangu

SENIOR PARTNER

Chipo graduated from the University of Zimbabwe Law School with a Bachelor of Laws Honours Degree in 2011. She also holds a Master of Laws (LLM) from the Midlands State University.

She is a qualified, practising, and registered Attorney, Notary Public and Conveyancer with the Law Society of Zimbabwe with more than ten (10) years’ experience in Commercial, Employment & Labour law, Constitutional & Human Rights Law, Family Law, as well as Conveyancing and Property Law.

Chipo co-founded Ruzvidzo and Mahlangu Attorneys (now known as
Maposa Mahlangu Attorneys) in 2019. She provides overall leadership in
addition to taking special responsibility for Conveyancing, Employment and Family law.

Chipo has a deep understanding of Labour Law and Labour Relations, Commercial and Corporate Law, and Environmental, Social and Governance (ESG) issues.

She is also experienced in investment promotion and facilitation, treatment and protection of investments, investor obligations, and dispute resolution mechanisms.

She is the past Chairperson of the Law Society of Zimbabwe Compensation
Fund; a board she has been a Trustee of from 2021 to 2023. She is also a member of the Council of Estate Administrators and Insolvency Practitioners.

In 2023, she was nominated for the 2023 Courtroom Mail 100 SHID, a list of female lawyers making strides in the legal profession of Sub-Saharan African
descent.

Quite recently, in March 2025, Chipo was awarded the Zimbabwe
CEO’s Network Outstanding Woman in Law – Platinum Winner Award.
She also sits on several Boards.

Takunda Manyau

Senior Associate

Takunda joined Maposa Mahlangu Attorneys in 2022. He graduated from
the University of Zimbabwe Law School with a Bachelor of Laws Honours
Degree in 2021.

He also holds a Master of Laws (LLM) in Commercial Law from the University of Zimbabwe. His comprehensive research focused on “Restructuring the Competition Dispute Resolution System in Zimbabwe:
Proposals for the Development of the Competition Tribunal and Competition Appeal Court,” where he critically examined the provisions of the Zimbabwean Competition Act [Chapter 14.28].

He is a qualified practising Attorney, Notary Public and Conveyancer registered with the Law Society of Zimbabwe with three (3) years’ experience in Commercial, Employment & Labour law, Constitutional law and Human Rights
Law, Family Law, as well as Conveyancing and Property Law.

Over the years, Takunda has specialised in Corporate, Employment and Commercial Law. The main areas that he has been practising are Intellectual
Property, Estate/Financial Planning, Mining, Tax Law, Insurance Law and Trade and Investment Law.

The attendances have included regulatory advice, regulatory compliance,
registration of entities, due diligence, disciplinary hearings, drafting and negotiating commercial contracts and commercial litigation.

Takunda also has an in-depth experience in employment contract drafting, employment disciplinary hearings and drafting employment codes of conduct and policies.

He has gained extensive experience through working with some
of the largest corporations in the country, especially in the energy and mining
industries.

In addition, he undergoes continuous professional training, which
has contributed immensely to his professional and efficient service delivery.

Nomathemba Nyumbeka

Associate

Nomathemba Nyumbeka joined Maposa Mahlangu Attorneys as an Associate in 2025.

A graduate of the University of Zimbabwe with a Bachelor of Laws Honours Degree, Noma is a registered Legal Practitioner, Conveyancer, and Notary Public, bringing impressive credentials to our team.

Her strong interest in Commercial Law positions her well to assist with complex business transactions and corporate governance matters.

Her focus on Employment Law will be invaluable as we help clients navigate Zimbabwe’s evolving labour landscape, while her expertise in Estates Law ensures our clients receive comprehensive guidance on succession planning and estate administration.

Nomathemba was once attached to Chinawa Attorneys from September 2022 to March 2023.

ARNOLD JOSEPH TAURAI MUSAPURI

Associate

Arnold Musapuri completed his LLB Degree at Great Zimbabwe University in 2025 and attained a 2:1 Degree Class pass.

He is a passionate and enthusiastic young lawyer with interests in Energy and Mining law, Civil Litigation, Intellectual Property and Labour law. He also has a keen interest in emerging areas of the law, such as AI and the law, space law and Construction law.

During her previous attachment, Arnold got exposed to legal research,
drafting of court documents and legal opinions.

Humpton Matarimanja

Accountant & Tax Advisor

Humpton is an Associate member of the Chartered Governance and Accountancy Institute of Zimbabwe (CGI). A registered Public Accountant and Holder of Practicing Certificate from the Public Accountants and Auditors’ Board (PAAB).

He is also a holder of a postgraduate diploma in Applied taxation from the Institute of Certified Tax Accountants in Zimbabwe (ICTA). He is currently studying Master of Commerce Degree in Applied Accounting and Corporate Governance with the Great Zimbabwe University (GZU).

He has more than 12 years’ experience in accounting. Worked at Sylve Accounting Services as a Consultant from 2012 to 2019 before founding Assertive accountants in 2019. He has a wealth of experience in Legal accounting and accounting for other sectors

Elliot Mutami

Chief Legal Clerk & Office Manager

Elliot, a dedicated and responsible man, possesses vast experience in as a
legal clerk, having served as such for over five (5) years.

He joined Maposa Mahlangu Attorneys in the year 2021 as a legal clerk. He also worked for Madzingira and Nhokwara Legal Practitioners as a legal clerk from 2017 to 2020.

He has been involved in the retail industry, where he worked for Ruffles Fashions, a leading provider of quality imported and local formal wear, as a Branch Manager from 2008 to 2017.

He also ventured into the manufacturing industry as a Department Supervisor at Superior Footwear from 2005 to 2008, where he acquired relevant work experience.
